About Us ~ Sweet Introductions
Welcome to our place of introductions! We are excited to share a bit “About Us” and how we four ladies came together for showing our furbabies under the well-known name of Petticoat Poms and Persians. Twenty-two years ago, Petticoat Poms’ website began as me, Sheila, sharing my Pomeranian puppies with the online world. Over the past two decades, with breeding laws limiting us Texas ladies to only 4 intact females, and taking into consideration the costs and work needed to maintain a website, by invitation, I formed this sweet group. I’m honored they accepted, two of which are my daughters, now grown and married. Our four families share the same high standards for the purpose of showing off our handsome packs of Pomeranians or Persians and their litters. We have united with breeding goals that start with DNA health testing of our parents and a commitment for any offspring to be reviewed for good health by licensed veterinarians before leaving. Additionally we ensure and provide paperwork showing them to be current on vaccinations, ready for their forever homes fully weaned and a minimum of 8 weeks (puppies) & 10 weeks (kittens). We each offer health guarantees specified in our individual contracts and conduct our individual businesses completely separate. My contact is what you will see posted as I serve as the gatekeeper, eliminating scam callers before passing on your info to the others. Perhaps one day, if you fall in love with a Pomeranian puppy or Persian kitten found on our site, we will get to meet you in person for adoption day of your new furbaby.

Petticoat Poms was born, in 2004, when I got my first Pomeranian pair and had plans to learn about breeding. I was drawn to their addictive personaitles, incredible intelligence and totally adorable, fluffy bodies. I had visions of a fun filled hobby producing bundles of prancing Pom puppies that would enjoy until weaning time. I was so naive. Poms (adults and puppies alike) are just warm, breathing, furry balls of joy and owning my first two convinced me dogs were truly designed to be “man’s best friend”. However, there is nothing easy about the life of a breeder. As my love for the breed grew, so did my commitment to produce healthy, typie, well-socialized offspring. to raise adorable little puppies, since every other mammal seemed to reproduce with easy was time to give the website a fresh look. Resistant to change, I talked about it for several years before I actually got it accomplished. So here in 2026, Petticoat Poms has morphed into Petticoat Poms and Persians, and with that change,
Hannah Collie
I am Hannah Sullivan, one of Sheila’s daughters who several of our returning customers have shared they remember meeting years ago when I was a child. Back then, when customers came for “go-home” day, a clan of small children would greet you at the gate, and welcome you to our home. This gave opportunity to meet the parents and see how/where your puppy was raised~ and meet those who happily socialized your furbaby. If you stayed long enough, I was the strawberry-headed little girl who would entice you to see my lizard tanks and frog habitats. For a while, I even raised tadpoles. I guess I left a an impression because one customer even returned and gifted me a box turtle and another, a chinchilla. Growing up in the country with an avid love for adventure, animals, and anything outdoors, I rescued/rehabilitated an array of abandoned critters. I’ll confess to “adopting” a wren or two straight from its nest, but most were small mammals in need of assistance. My mom was in full support, but the little skunk earned her an award in patience.
I relished wildlife, but my favorite mammals of all were the Pomeranians. My earliest puppy memories were with my sisters, creating small agility courses to run with our favorites. As I grew, so did my involvement with the Poms. From backyard play and socialization, I became involved with delivery, newborn care, vaccinations, bathing, and eventually tube feedings. I noted early on their trainability and retention of skills and made the most of the free YouTube lessons for clicker training~ positive reinforcement all the way!
So now, with my husband and I settled in the scenic Texas hill country, a home and spacious yard of our own, I’ve developed my own small, and very select, hobby breeding program. My Poms are selected for not only their beauty, and personality, but also their genetic health based on their DNA testing results. My goal is to do produce healthy Pomeranian puppies that bring joy to our customers for many years of happy memories. My children are enjoying many of the same experiences I relish from my childhood, namely growing up in a home with canine companions, developing a respect for all animals and nature in general, and a love for the Pomeranian breed.
Anadrew Paea
My name is Anadrew /Anna-drew/, no typo there but the one “n” is confusing. 🙂 Both my husband and I were Texas born, but after we married, his career relocated us to the lovely state of Arkansas. While we miss the warmer climate, we relish Arkansas’ natural hot springs, plethora of waterfalls, and the breathtaking Ozark mountains. By profession, I work with my BSN as a registered nurse; By passion, I raise CFA purebred Persian and Himalayan cats. I started my breeding program exclusively with females from Petticoat Poms and Persians; and after an arduous search, I acquired a striking male from Ukranian bloodlines. All of my Persian cats are selected based firstly for their clean DNA panels proving they are healthy, free of PKD and a list of other feline genetic issues. Secondly, they are chosen because of beautiful conformation. My goal is to produce kittens that are quality examples of the breed standard~ sweet smushy faces, tiny erect ears, and a well placed nose that sit smack-dab between their giant marble sized eyes. If their pancake-flat profiles don’t win hearts, their incredible gentle and extremely affectionate natures will. Our cats are raised in our home as family companions, and never declawed. When selecting a forever home, we look for those well versed in the Persian breed either by personal experience or research where they will ensure an indoor only life style for their own protection.

Hi, my name is Hayley, I bought my first Pomeranian at age 19 and fell in love with the breed. I appreciate their small size, low level of genetic concerns, long lifespan and overall disposition. I bought my 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th Pomeranians from Sheila starting back in 2007. Over the years, she has been a wealth of knowledge and has helped me to grow my understanding of Pomeranians. I personally breed on a very small scale with my dams and sire are our family pets. I strive to breed the highest quality Pomeranians. Our Poms are DNA tested to ensure we are correctly breeding the best strands to produce the healthiest puppies. All of our Poms are AKC and CKC registered. I joined up with this group of ladies because we all share the same core values and same high breeding standards. We operate with integrity, breed responsibly, and we each stand behind the puppies that we produce. We all put family first, and our Poms are a part of our family!
